End User License Agreement
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This agreement is between you and [company name: to be filled in] ("we", "us") about the Tracky desktop app (the "Software"). The Terms of Service cover plans, payments, the online services and liability; they are part of this agreement. By installing or running the Software you accept it.
1. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on PCs you own or control, for your own use, for as long as you follow this agreement. The free version shows ads; a paid plan removes them on the number of PCs your plan allows. The Software is licensed, not sold.
2. What you may not do
- Get around, disable or fake the licence check, the PC limit or the ad system.
- Copy, sell, rent, lend or give away the Software or a licence key, or offer a changed version of it, except as section 4 allows.
- Remove our copyright notices or the open-source notices.
- Use the Software against the law.
You may make one backup copy of the installer.
3. Decompiling
You may not decompile or reverse-engineer the Software, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement (for example, under the EU Software Directive, to make it work with other programs) and except as section 4 allows.
4. Open-source parts
The Software includes open-source components, each under its own licence, which applies to that component instead of this agreement. The main ones are Qt and Qt for Python (PySide6), under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3 (LGPL-3.0), and Python, under the PSF License. The full list, the licence texts and where to get the source code of the LGPL components are in the notices that come with the Software (the LGPL package next to the download).
As the LGPL requires: you may replace the LGPL libraries in the Software with your own, changed versions, and you may reverse-engineer the Software as far as needed to debug such changes. Nothing in this agreement restricts the rights the open-source licences give you.
5. Updates and online parts
We may release updates. Some features (licence checks, shared rooms, sponsor ads) depend on our servers; the Terms say how they work and what happens if they change.
6. Your files
Pictures and sounds you add stay yours and stay on your PC.
7. End
This licence ends if you seriously break this agreement and do not stop after we ask you to (or at once in the case of getting around the licence check or selling keys). You can end it at any time by uninstalling the Software. Sections 3, 4 and 8 continue after the end.
8. Guarantee and liability
The guarantee and the limits of our liability are in section 12 of the Terms of Service. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
